What is Consecutive Interpretation?
The interpretation has the purpose of standing between people speaking different languages in order to make them understand each other.
Consecutive interpretation involves a source language speaker that makes pauses in his/her speech and an interpreter that renders the messages of those segments speaking in the target language so that the audience or the target language listeners can understand. It is ideal for meetings, accompanying visitors and lectures for small audiences.
Unlike simultaneous interpretation, which occurs in parallel with the speaker's speech, and therefore naturally implies the loss of part of the transmitted content, in consecutive interpretation it is possible to transmit practically the entirety of the speech of the interlocutors, being ideal when precision is required.

How much does it cost?
Consecutive interpreting service is charged per one day or per half a day.
| ONE DAY | BRL 2,500.00 | = 8-hour period that the professional will be available to the client, including one hour for interval (7 hours of effective work). |
| HALF A DAY | BRL 1,400.00 | = 4 hours, in the morning or in the afternoon, that the professional will be available to the client, including a 30-minutes interval (3.5 hours of effective work). |
| Conditions: | |
| 1) | Extra hours exceeding the limit stipulated above will be charged BRL 400.00/extra hour. |
| 2) | When service includes the period from 12:00 to 14:00, the price of one day service will be applied even if it had been hired half a day. |
| 3) | Once hired interpreter service for one day, one day of service will be charged even if it ends in less than 4 hours. |
| 4) | The time of service is counted from the time set for the meeting to the time of the dispersion, including the time for adjustment discussions. If the client wishes to meet the day before for more detailed adjustments, I can serve for one hour upon payment of 50% of the half-day service fee. |
| 5) | Services early in the morning (before 8 am) or late in the evening (after 8 pm) will incur an additional fee (+50%). |
| 6) | For services performed outside the municipality of Recife, travel and lodging expenses are charged to the client and a daily food fee of BRL 100.00 per day will be charged (BRL 200.00 if abroad Brazil). In this case, start and end time made available to the client is based on the time of departure and arrival in Recife. If transfer occurs on the day before the service begins or the day after the service ends, the half-day service fee will be charged for those transfer-only days (except if abroad Brazil, when one day of service will be charged for all period). |
